Aims:

textures
- To develop reading and comprehension skills
- To develop speaking skills/ discussing preferences and attitudes towards
food and restaurants

June 24th 2014 - "Will" and "Be going to"/ Expressing Likes and Dislikes
Aims:
- To learn how to use the future tense
- Asking about future plans by interviewing each other
- Asking your partner about their likes and dislikes
- Listening exercise about passions

July 1st 2014 - The Past Simple
Aims:
- To learn how to and when to use the past simple
- Introduction to irregular verbs
- exercises to familiarise student with the past simple
- Conversation about an event that happened in the past.
- Homework to write 10 sentences using the past simple

July 8th 2014 - Adverbs of Frequency/The Time
Aims:
- To learn how to use adverbs of frequency and how to conjugate them in a sentence
- Exercises to practice using adverbs of frequency
- images to help stimulate short dialogue using adverbs of frequency
- Introduction of the time
- combining the time with adverbs of frequency


July 15th 2014 - Prepositions of time, place and movement

Aims:
  • To understand the uses of prepositions through exercises and video
  • To implement prepositions correctly both orally and written

July 29th 2014 - The Family/talking about people

Aims:
  • Theme: The family
  • Skills: To be able to recount own members of family and how they are related
  • vocabulary: Mum, dad, husband, wife, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, granddaughter, grandson, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, cousin
  • Theme: Talking about people 
  • Skills: Listening for specific information. Listening for details
  • Grammar focus: Wish + simple past 
  • Vocabulary: Annoyed, annoying, argumentative, bossy, easygoing, embarrassed, even-tempered, generous, mad (angry), moody, sociable, stubborn, sympathetic, upset, worried
